Saswatha Anna Prasadam Scheme
The Vedas, Upanishads, and Dharmasastras preach us:
“Annadaanat param daanam Na bhootam na bhavishyasi Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam”
Based on this holy idea, the Devasthanam has started a permanent food donation programme – Saswatha Anna prasadam Scheme Pathakam.
Devotees may pay Rs.5,116/-. This will be deposited in the bank and with the interest gained by it, 35 people can be fed on one particular day chosen by the donor. Devotees may give donation to this Anna prasada Mahayagna in the form of money & articles and in unlimited quantity. The names list of permanent donors will be exhibited in the dining hall. Donors can enjoy free entry facility into Durga Temple and other sub-temples on their chosen donation day.
Donors should give D.D.s or Cheques in favour of: The Executive Officer, Saswatha Anna prasadam Trust, Sri Durga Malleswaraswamy varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

- Date and month when Anna prasadam should be offered

Anna prasadam Scheme has been introduced from 1/1/1991 with 58 members per day with a copious amount of Rs.15 lakhs from out of surplus funds on the same lines of T.T.D. Scheme. The Trust is registered under Reg.No-181/99 with the title “Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy varla Saswatha Anna prasadam Trust, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada-1”. The Trust is exempted from Income Tax under Section 80(G). There are about 1,07,708 Donors as on 30-05-2015. The Timings of Anna prasadam Section are 10 A.M to 4.00 P.M.
At a cost of Rs.24.00 per meal, about 5,000 persons are fed per day, i.e. about 1,50,150 persons per month.

You can now avail online booking of ammavari darshanam. Devotees are requested to be in traditional wear during visit to sacred Indrakeeladri.

Each year the Devasthanam updates the Ammavari calendar to give a lot of useful Information about events and more.
The Devasthanam is sending computer printed intimation cards along with Ammavari pooja kumkuma for the date of which the Donor paid for Anna prasadam scheme. The Donor lists both Telugu & English dates has been displayed on the Notice Board of Anna prasadam everyday.
