Everyday, approximately 5000 pilgrims are provided with free meals. During important festivals such as Dasara Festival & Bhavani Deeksha Viramana – which go on for 10 Days & 6 days respectively – about 1,25,000 pilgrims are provided free meals.
Usually, the Devasthanam conducts cultural programmes such as Nitya Nivedana and Sangeetha Kalaradhana on festival days as well as on Sundays and Fridays. During the Dasara Navaratri festival, cultural programmes are conducted 24 hours/day throughout the 9 days.As per instructions in the circular RC.No.HDPT/Project-2/2015 dt:3-3-2015 of the Commissioner, Endowments Department, Hyderabad, programmes are arranged on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Devotees have expressed their satisfaction with programmes such as Nruthya Nivedana, Bhakthi Ranjani, Kolatam, Harikatha, and Burrakadha. The artists very happily give their performances on Indrakeeladri to get blessings of Sri Ammavaru.
You can now avail online booking of ammavari darshanam. Devotees are requested to be in traditional wear during visit to sacred Indrakeeladri.
