Kalyana Katta
Everyday, approximately 5000 pilgrims are provided with free meals. During important festivals such as Dasara Festival & Bhavani Deeksha Viramana – which go on for 10 Days & 6 days respectively – about 1,25,000 pilgrims are provided free meals.

Opposite Durga Ghat, the Devasthanam maintains Kesakandanasalas with 104 Barbers in daily attendance.
Additionally, during the days of Dasara Festival and Bhavani Deeksha Viramana, the services of 1500 Barbers are provided at various new Ghats, temporarily arranged for the festive occasions, duly deploying them from other temples by inviting applications from interested local barbers and offering half the amount in ticket value as remuneration.
During the peak season i.e. during Sravanamasam and the summer season, extra barbers are engaged on remuneration and in the slack season, their services are relinquished.
